  General conditions

Course registration at the Alliance Française of Saint-Malo

 

Rules:

-      The courses at the Alliance Française of Saint-Malo are open to anyone over 18 years old at the time of final enrolment;

-      Attendance is compulsory;

-      Your level (European Common Reference Frame) will be assessed on arrival by a test of the Alliance Française of Saint-Malo;

-      The Alliance Française of Saint-Malo reserves the right to slightly modify the dates, prices or course packages without prior notice.           

 

Schedule:

-      Students must pre-register at least a month before the beginning of classes;

-      Classes generally start on Monday mornings; we advise students to arrive on the Sunday before classes begin;

-      There are no classes on French bank holidays.        

 

Prices:

-      Students have to pay for their educational material (book, exercise notebook);

-      Apart from the test on arrival, exams must be paid for.

-      Pre-registration fees (260 or 160 €) will not be reimbursed in case of cancellation by the student , but 110 € (out of 260 €) or 60 € (out of 110 €) may be paid back if cancellation occurs one month before the beginning of the session.

-      If their whole course is cancelled by the Alliance , students will be entirely reimbursed;

-      Any bank fees occasioned by the mode of payment used by the student must be paid by him or her on arrival.

Administrative formalities:

-      Students must get informed about the law regulating their presence in the country, which depends on their country belonging or not to the European Union. If this is not the case and you wish to stay over three months, thanks to the pre-registration attestation (sent by the Alliance Française of Saint-Malo on reception of your payment), you will be able to start the necessary formalities to get the necessary visa allowing you to stay over three months to study in France.

-      Be aware that the pre-registration attestation does not guarantee the obtention of a visa. The attestation will be sent to you by email and by post.

-      Before coming to France, you must subscribe an insurance (health, etc.)

 

Registration confirmation and final enrolment:

-      Final enrolment can only be made once the total amount of registration fee  for the chosen course has been paid, and once the student on arrival has presented 2 identity photographs, his or her passport and visa when necessary (non-EU members registeri ng for over three months).
